[Utah_ahead] Utah AHEAD Summer Conference

Hello everyone.  My apologies if you receive multiple copies of this
email, but I wanted to try and reach as many people as possible.  Below
is information about our summer conference.  I hope we can do some Utah
AHEAD business and learn something we can take home and use.  I have
also attached the membership form for anyone who hasn't had time to join
yet.  We will send out a more detailed agenda in the next few weeks, but
I wanted everyone to have the info so they could start planning to
attend.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I'm looking
forward to seeing everyone and catching up.

Summer Conference 2007

Utah Valley State College

July 10th & 11th

 

 

Tuesday July 10

Noon to 1pm register & lunch 

1pm Documentation review 

            Designed to give those new to the field (or those wanting an
update) an introduction to gathering and reviewing LD and psychiatric
documentation

2:30pm Break

2:45 to 3:45 Documentation review; continued

 

Wednesday July 11

8 am to 9 am Register and light breakfast 

 

9 am welcome and overview of day 

 

9:15am to 10:15 am SB 192 Service Animals

Discussion of the new Utah law giving broad access to public venues for
people accompanied by emotional therapy animals.

 

10:15 Break

10:30 to noon Campus Safety: Ed Matinelli

 

Noon to 1pm Lunch and networking

 

1 to 2:15pm Utah AHEAD election business

 

2:30 to 3:45 FERPA and disclosing student information, Brian Nelson

3:45 to 4pm Wrap up

 

Rates for the conference are:

One day only=$40

Two days=$50
