The three AHEAD brochures on UD (UD in Higher Ed, UD: A Guide for Students,
and UD for Inclusive Lectures) all list and define the 7 principles using
the original language though they reference UD strategies for curriculum and
learning.

Hi Molly,
Glad that you are thinking of how to make the language fit the audience. I
thought that the brochures on universal design that AHEAD produced had begun
to do this. Are you working with these?
I helped work on these adaptations. Perhaps we didn't go far enough. Re who
should be included in the discussion, I think that the 3 AHEAD brochures
included a caveat re the Center for Universal Design; they hold the
copyright on the original Principles.
Now I'm speaking from the dangerous realm of memory...I don't have copies of
the AHEAD brochures at hand.
