Research Findings: The Positive Impact of Coaching on College Students
with ADHD/LD

DS providers often seek guidance about effective supports for students
with executive functioning issues who experience chronic difficulties
with time management, organization, and dealing with stress. In this
presentation, researchers will discuss findings and implications from a
recent study involving college students with ADHD/LD. Coaching supported
their emerging autonomy, helped them self-regulate, and promoted their
confidence about future success.

Mississippi AHEAD, through the SBCJC's Project ACCESS Grant, funded by
the Mississippi Council on Developmental Disabilities, is pleased to
offer the following 2009-2010 AHEAD to You! Audioconference, free of
charge, at THREE convenient locations across the state. AHEAD to You!
is produced by the national Association on Higher Education and
Disability and features respected national and international experts
presenting theoretical and practical information tailored to
professionals working in disability services.
The audioconference will run for 90 minutes from 2:00 to 3:30 pm Central
Time and will be preceded and followed by opportunities to contact the
instructors via Email. Additionally, each hosting site will facilitate a
discussion at the conclusion of each audio conference. To reserve your
seat, please notify the contact person listed at your nearest host
institution. Indicate any special accommodations that you may need at
that time. Note: Complimentary web-based real-time captioning is
provided. When you call, simply notify the host site to request this
