Hello All~
Many people have asked "why they should attend the LFD conference? After all they don't serve/work with LFD people." However, if your business/agency/institution serves individuals that have challenges that can be described as;
individuals have multiple disabilities (including blindness, orthopedic disabilities or mental illness)educational challenges (is retention an issue at your institution, if yes then those students are at risk)lack of social skills Behavior problems
lack of independent living skills
Also, just by having a low socioeconomic or minority status put students "at risk" for not obtaining the skills required to complete school successfully and transition to college or employment.If you serve individuals with any of these characteristics then YOU should attend the LFD conference. Here are the benefits of attending...
Presenters are hand picked to provide you with sessions with information that is applicable and practical Registration is a LOW $50 for three days of training, and a registration bag full of resources.Networking opportunities with others who work with and and can share their experiences related to serving this population.there will be an opportunity to share YOUR ideas and tools that you use to serve this populationWHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!
