Hi Dr. West,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry that I just got this answers back to
you. I have been busy with a class in Hattiesburg and getting ready to
move to Oxford.

1) Have any of you (Mississippi AHEAD members) presented at a national
or in-state meeting, conference, or workshop on topics related to
accessibility issues or accommodations, services, and supports for students
with disabilities? If so, what meeting, where, and when?

I gave a presentation at the National Federation of the blind
Youth-Retreat. May 31, 2008 in Jackson, MS . The presentation was on
transitioning from high school to college are work for high school
students.

 2) Have any of you implemented new programs, created new policies
and/or improved existing policies as a result of professional development
provided through Mississippi AHEAD? If so, provide a brief description of
what you did (Examples might include: modified disability information in
college catalog or student handbook; developed and implemented a uniform
syllabus statement on disability accommodations; revised website for
accessibility purposes; purchased assistive technology equipment; etc.)

Not sure if this will apply to this question. I am working with Mr.
Sam Cleese on a legislative piece for accessible textbooks here in the
state.
