[Ms_ahead] Info Needed - Mississippi AHEAD

Hello All,

 

It's that time of year again.  Time to re-apply for another year's
funding for Project ACCESS, the grant funded by the Mississippi Council
on Developmental Disabilities to provide financial support for the
Mississippi Association on Higher Education and Disability. This has
been a great year for Mississippi AHEAD, and I think you would all agree
that the continuation of the high quality professional development and
training this organization provides is worth pursuing.

 

To show sufficient progress on our goals for this past year, I need your
assistance.  If you would, please send me your responses to the
following questions ASAP, but no later than noon Wednesday, June 18th.  

 

1)       Have any of you (Mississippi AHEAD members) presented at a
national or in-state meeting, conference, or workshop on topics related
to accessibility issues or accommodations, services, and supports for
students with disabilities?  If so, what meeting, where, and when?

 

2)       Have any of you implemented new programs, created new policies
and/or improved existing policies as a result of professional
development provided through Mississippi AHEAD?   If so, provide a brief
description of what you did (Examples might include: modified disability
information in college catalog or student handbook; developed and
implemented a uniform syllabus statement on disability accommodations;
revised website for accessibility purposes; purchased assistive
technology equipment; etc.)

 

Your assistance in securing continued funding for our only statewide
professional development organization for higher education disability
service providers is GREATLY APPRECIATED!  Please call if you have
