 >About This Conference:

The National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD) has released a
document that urges collaboration between secondary and postsecondary
institutions in determining eligibility for college level services. This
document is the result of collaboration among representatives from major
organizations within the K-12 and postsecondary establishments, and
represents a successful meeting of the minds of the prominent
constituencies. It is hoped that this document will not only help LD
students in making a successful transition, but will serve as a road map for
service providers from both sides as they seek to assist all students with
disabilities move from high school to college. Understanding what each side
has to offer (and needs to have!) is the first step.
