Today (Wednesday) is your last chance to visit the Virtual Open House for
DCCOL's new resource,
Accommodating Students with Disabilities Online: Access is EVERYONE'S
Responsibility!
http://dccol.omnibooksonline.com/2010
The 10 targeted training modules are entitled:
- Legally Speaking
- Helping Students Access the Online Environment (especially for faculty)
- Tech Talk (especially for faculty)
- Teaching in an Accessible Online Environment (especially for faculty)
- Systemic Support (especially for DSS and friends!)
- You Gotta Know the Rules! (especially for DSS)
- Accommodating Online Learners (especially for DSS)
- It Takes a Virtual Village... (especially for DSS)
- The Administrative Lynchpin
- Supplier's Side
Just for clarification -- the one-year subscription price for the training
package will be $1000. For that $1000, anyone from the institution (make
that EVERYONE that you can invite, entice, insist!) may visit the website and
work their way through any/all lessons of interest. The site will be
availble to institutional personnel 24/7/365. That provides the opportunity
for HUNDREDS (or more!) hours of training to institutional personnel for that
single price.
Go. Look. Sample. The folks who have visited over the last two days
have been very excited at what they found. I hope you will be, too!
